A Special Request

The Congress schedule includes a workers’ hearing on discrimination on Thursday 22 May in the morning session of the Realising Rights sub-plenary.

We would like to include testimony from workers who have experienced anti-union discrimination, sexism, homophobia, maternity discrimination or who’ve been discriminated over disability.

These issues are central to the work of unions and many affiliates have a long history of campaigns and legal action against discrimination.

If there is a worker in your delegation who has personal experience of discrimination at work, and would be prepared to describe this experience and how they overcame it with the help of their union, we would like to hear from them. This could include being included in a panel discussion moderated by the ITUC General Secretary.
